The last lessons (recommended)

       Online teaching strategies & techniques can be used in classroom with condition we bring students to computer lab. But any way, I will read & try to know more about inquiry based learning. I find out teacher should change mindset to promote collaborative learning among students. Teacher should act as facilitator in online teaching.

       Seriously speaking, online teaching requires teacher's competency in using tech tools. I have to tune my mindset : persuade myself that all the multimedia teaching aids are user-friendly. Miss Hao said computer wouldn't burst up, so computer idiot like me  have no excuses. My aim for coming 3 months is to familiarize those teaching tools like blog, wiki a & think how to integrate those tools into my lesson to form an effective teaching strategies.
  
      Teaching with technologies require students engagement. Transformation from a cooperator to initiator through collaborator (student) is not an easy process. Maybe online teaching plus inquiry based learning can make our teaching vision visualize in future. I think self actualization needs critical thinking skills & reflection. Hope i can equip myself to lead my students to acquire knowledge that they can bring along wherever they go.

       I sincerely thank Miss Hao for these 5 day learning lessons. By writing blog, involving in action reseach(wiki),webquest & lots of group discussions really bring me to a new horizon for multimedia teaching aids & their functions. Miss Hao linked the application of these tools in daily teaching method. Sure, it leaves great impact in my teaching dimension in future. Thank you.

 

Day 4 learning reflection

    Yesterday,I was impressed with the speed of our classmates in completing their webquests. I think each of us has tried his/her best to understand what Miss Hao taught in class. Actually, I am confuss blog with webquest. Webquest is it a website designed for public to watch? Producing Webquest  must follow the 6 steps like introduction, task, process,resources, evaluation and conclusion? I hope to check up the answer as soon as possible from my friend.

   I enjoy writing blog because i find out it helps me to express my opinion. In addition, it can improve my writing skills.

   I am quite interested in method of inquiry-based learning. The question is whether my students are suitable or able to guide? Or I need time to understand/ handle it before introducing to students.

Fruitful learning day (recomended)

     I am mentally very tired today. I should be thankful because i don't fell sick by attending such intensive course. Well, Miss Hao has introduced us many teaching tools like Blog, Wiki, Social book marks.I got the overall conceptual ideas of how digital & multi-media technologies help in teaching & learning. I need times to digest & understand the websites.The exposure of lesson this week really implant in my mind. My resoluton end of year includes reflection of my current pedagogy. Some changes have to take (the use of digital tech) in teaching.

   What Miss Hao mentioned in class ( afternoon) about self recognition & value in teaching  slow-learning students.These efforts may not bring any visible impact. School or other think us doing nothing. working women including me all the while been struggling in balancing the family role & career development.So, I must have strong faith in ensuring my own value.

   Cognitive apprenticeship is workable with condition of good mentor. Good mentor can point out your mistakes. So you can build up confidence & knowlegde by contructive learning. I like Vygotsky's zone of proximal development, peers play significant roles in supporting learning. Bye-bye

 Just now, l learned to change the background of my blog from plain to picture & color. now i would like to paste picture .Hey! I managed to do it. good job. tomorrow, i will paste my picture.

insight thought for second day learning (recomended)

 Today is a good day for me because someone turned up unexpectedly. I appreciated what he had done to me. Well! I really like to attend Miss Hao class. It opened my mind with variuos multimedia of communication. Plurk, Twitter, Facebook are really amusing. l had explored them. these communication ways will enrich our lives with forming a social network, share the information.

From bubbl network, I manage to draw a graph for the way to promote English. I think it is very useful & applicable. I will use it for my E-learning teaching. I will ask students to analyse the story by using bubbl to brainstorm the points.

  About the Action Reseach, statement is why english day failed & ways to promote it. I need to go back home to draf the points.

  Final words, i will utilise  & explore all the websites once i finish this couse. The fear hiding inside my mind for using computer has disminished little by little. Thank God !

reflection for first day lesson

         Today, I had learned a lot about action reseach. Action reseach is a systematical way to solve our teaching problems in school.Identify the problem by writing the details of the problem-who, when, where, why, why & how. Then we need to collect the data by observation, interview, survey or triangulation.
         4 elements like validity, reliability generalizability & ethics invoived in organizing the data. We need to analyze data by developing concept mop. Last, taking action by giving your suggestions.
         Another point is I find out we can train students to learn independently with the help of multimedia. Let students take part in collaborative learning ( share experience ) is more appliacable in future taking.
